Bug Description
It was decided at UDS that for Lucid, we'd try to make Edubuntu installable only through the Live installer and drop our current text installer from the DVD.
The seed changes have already been done to reflect that. "dvd-live" contains the packages for the live environment, "dvd" contains the packages we want to have on the DVD but not in the live environment.
We'd basically like our DVD to behave like the Ubuntu Desktop CD.
We want to have the Live environment contain most of what's part of Edubuntu (that's already the case) and have a few additional packages on the DVD for the user to install afterwards if he wants/needs to.
As far I could see, it's the case for the Ubuntu Desktop CD as it contains a on-cd repository containing a few additional drivers.
The change I'd like is to have our on-dvd repository only contain packages that have been seeded in our "dvd" seed and the dependencies our users would need to install these from what they get after a live installation.
The current DVD contains these packages but also all their dependencies, making our on-dvd repository contain pretty much all of edubuntu-desktop, ubuntu-desktop and netbook-desktop which we don't want (that's approximately 2GB of unused packages).
I had a look at http://
Thanks a lot
I think this is done now. Please let me know whether it works properly.
