Everything is OK with suggested patch. Just wondering why it wasn't included in 2.26.1-0ubuntu1 (2.26.0 includes it)?

Is there any chance to see patched package in jaunty-updates? This patch was included in original jaunty package 2.26.0-0ubuntu4 but not in 2.26.1-0ubuntu1. What was the reason to remove it? Sorry for my little anger, I manage several dozens of office ubuntu machines (they accept only security updates) and once I've got lots of complains.

the upload is targetted to jaunty-updates, it needs to be validated first though

giving some details, the updates need to tested to confirm that the bug fix is working and not creating new issues before moving the -updates, the previous update has been confirmed to be working but nobody noticed the openoffice graphical change, the new update could be moved quickly after the weekend

What was the problem testing that patch? Two weeks has passed and still there's no patched package. It's a pity. I'm using that patch during all this time and no problems was detected using common Ubuntu software.

Timur, did you test the actual package from -proposed? we need to check that it didn't get misbuilt.

Yes, I did, gnome-settings-daemon (2.26.1-0ubuntu2) from proposed seems to be OK.

This bug was fixed in the package gnome-settings-daemon - 2.26.1-0ubuntu2

the issue is already fixed in karmic
