Bug Description
Binary package hint: apport
I've recently ran into a fair number of apport-package bug reports that contain an empty or corrupted VarLogDistupgrade file. I'm uncertain how the file ends up in this state but it makes the bug report much less useful.
Example bugs:
bug 367714
bug 367948
bug 367958
bug 368094

All the bug reports seem to have a dated VarLogDistupgrade file like VarLogDistupgrade200904231030.gz.
