Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
On the 5/7 page of the ubiquity installer, it asks for a username and password. The password fields seem to be 8 characters wide. My test passwords are longer ("password1"), and this results in a tiny bit of confusion. A real user would probably be discouraged from using long passwords. It would be great if the password fields could be made a bit wider.

Which Ubuntu variant were you installing? The GTK frontend has '<property name="width_ chars"> 12</property> '; the KDE frontend has '<width> 200</width> ' (which I think is pixels).
