Binary package hint: openvpn

I think it would be better to put openVPN 2.1rc15 in Jaunty instead of 2.1rc11

Thanks for reporting this bug, can you provide some further details as to why this version should be bumped? It's quite late in the development cycle to upgrade the version. However, if you can provide some key reasons why this may be required, it could be possible. Ie, Security update could be a key reason.

As you can see here ( http://openvpn.net/index.php/documentation/change-log/changelog-21.html ) there are a lot of bug fixes... maybe is possible to bring the diffs without changing the version? this would be better for the lateness of the development cycle?

We are past feature freeze so we should concentrate on specific bugfixing rather than version upgrades. 2.1rc11->2.1rc15 is mostly about new features afaict (or fixing regressions introduced by those new features), except the lladdr bug fixed in rc12 which is already included in our version. I see nothing that clearly warrants a Feature Freeze exception (and differing from current Debian version).

Closing as wontfix, feel free to reopen if you can make a rationale for a Feature Freeze exception.
