Bug Description
Following the decision on https:/
We basically want to go back to what we had previous cycle but change the default selection to be 'minimal' (and probably relabel the options)
It will require reverting also the changes we did to debian-cd

Approved for the FFe. This of course should get landed before beta.
One of the challenges is that this is coming in at the same time as we are trying to merge the canary features into the main image. So rather than being a straight "revert", in fact this will have to be a merge and we'll need to figure out what order we're landing things in (and preferably land it all ASAP).
Also, what does this mean for the legacy image? The legacy image doesn't use squashfs layers for minimal vs standard, but rather uses the "legacy" package removal list; so that support is all still there but if the minimal target is to become the new default, that would seem to require UI work in legacy to ensure consistency, is Desktop Team committing to take care of that so that legacy and desktop have the same default behavior?
