Bug Description

After today's (February 23) software update Huawei 3372H-153 modem is not working anymore (it was working for last 6 weeks). Modem itself is OK - provides connection when used with router instead of sticking it to laptop directly.

I had the same problem. The usb modem was detected as CD-ROM. I had to install driver manually and now the modem works fine. See

Correction to previous post:

Updates from 2019-02-24 did NOT corrected the problem.

The problem disappears when Ubuntu 16.04 is started as reboot after Kubuntu 18.04 session.
Kubuntu 18.04 operates modem properly both after cold start and reboot; Ubuntu 16.04 operates modem only after reboot from Kubuntu 18.04.
