@canonical, please cherry pick that commit into 17.10 release if possible.

More info:

5dc1d5c6bac2 (“x86/intel_rdt: Simplify info and base file lists”) has many prerequisite dependencies for the code base is different. There will be more effort to back this single commit.

another patch (not official) provided to make it.

there are several option:
1) move it to 18.04
2) backport patch and its dependencies(30+ patches) -- high risk
3) take non-official patch
