Bug Description
SRU Request:
[Impact]
nvidia-304 and its -updates flavour don't work with the lts-xenial kernel, as the modules still rely on mtrr_add mtrr_del (dropped by Linux 4.3).
[Test Case]
1) Enable the trusty-proposed repository, and install the "linux-
2) Install one of the available nvidia-304 packages or, if the nvidia driver is already installed, dist-upgrade after adding the -proposed repository.
3) Restart and see if the system boots correctly. If unsure, please attach your /var/log/
[Regression Potential]
Low, the packages include the very same patch that we have used in Xenial since its release.

Accepted nvidia- graphics- drivers- 304 into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https:/ /launchpad. net/ubuntu/ +source/ nvidia- graphics- drivers- 304/304. 131-0ubuntu0. 14.04.2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
