Option to disable mouse-hover tooltips

I had to downgrade to Xubuntu 14.04.4. Plank isn't in the repo so I added using:

sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:ricotz/docky
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install plank

I opened Plank and there's no configuration options at all on the dock or in my .config/plank/dock1/ folder, only a launchers folder.

Please help.

I just deleted everything that installed from ppa:ricotz/docky and installed from ppa:docky-core/stable as a troubleshooting step. Same result as above.

@jason: It is not exposed in the gui. You can easily use dconf-editor or gsettings to change it.

e.g. "gsettings set net.launchpad.plank.dock.settings:/net/launchpad/plank/docks/dock1/ tooltips-enabled false"

I unchecked enable-tooltips option in dconf-editor. Good to go. Thank you very much for working this out for me. Greatly appreciated.

Hi Rico. I have Plank 0.11.4-2 installed on Xubuntu 18.04. I wish to disable hover over tooltips as outlined above. I have dconf editor 3.28.0-1 installed. This doesn't work anymore, this section of dconf editor has a different window now without the checkbox options like before:

I used only dconf editor previously. I just opened a terminal and pasted in "gsettings set net.launchpad.plank.dock.settings:/net/launchpad/plank/docks/dock1/ tooltips-enabled false" as you mentioned above. I did this no sudo no root. Working now, all set.
