I've tried to use the -proposed branch, however it fails to find the new kernel.
Here's a summary of the steps we've taken:

root@ubuntu14-3:~# uname -a

At the end of /etc/apt/sources.list this line was added:

root@ubuntu14-3:~# cat /etc/apt/preferences

root@ubuntu14-3:~# apt-get upgrade -s
