The bzr-svn section is one people are likely to jump straight to before they know all the ins and outs of bzr. I know because I'm a newbie who did just that. I read that section and then ended up going to irc because I wasn't sure how to find the answer to the question "can I change from one svn style of checkout to another?" Reading that section gave me no keywords I could use to find the answer.
I think it's fine to put the detailed explanations in the branches/checkouts section if you like, but then you need to include a link to the branches/checkouts section in the bzr-svn section. Right now there are precious few clues in the bzr-svn section about how to understand more about what the two commands mentioned actually do.
This is my advice as a newbie who knows SVN and Hg trying to understand how Bzr works. If you don't want to take this advice, that's your choice.
(I think you were one of the ones who answered my question on IRC... so thanks for that.)
