This is a request more than a bug. I use firefox as an example but it is applicable to other applications
I have a firefox launcher in the dock. When I use it to open a firefox window, that window doesn't appear in the task manager.
So if firefox is minimized I cannot know if there is a instance of firefox running, I can see the launcher but there is no information about the running instance of firefox.
If I click in the launcher I discover that instance of firefox, but when I click in the launcher I want a new instance of firefox, not the old one. I know that using the middle button of the mouse opens a new instance, but I think that the launchers must have only a function: launching new applications, not open the already launched. It seems to me a bit confusing.
