Can't shutdown on kernel 5.3.0.53

Bug Description

Computer hangs and is still powered on when using the GUI option and the terminal.
Here are my specs from neofetch (I am using the alternative kernel at the moment from the boot screen)
OS: Zorin OS 15.2 x86_64
