Bug Description
zim 0.63, Ubuntu 14.04
*) Dotted list
11) Mark a region of lines
12) "*" # this formats the region as dotted list, good.
13) Mark region again
14) "*" # this removes dotted list formatting, VERY GOOD. toggle function implemented.
Note:
Step 14) does not work with Menu: Format / Bullet List;
BUT: If the region held a numbered list or tasks list, you can override it to become a dotted list via menu.
Such overriding does not work with "*" applied to a marked numbered list.
*) Task list
21) Mark a region of lines
22) There is no keyboard shortcut; Menu: Format / Checkbox List # this formats the region as checkbox list
23) Mark region again
24) Try to remove [ ] checkboxes # toggle function is NOT implemented.
Note:
How to remove checkboxes from a big checkbox list.
Step 21) .. Step 23); then Menu / Format / Bullet List; # this forces the region to become a dotted list.
Then, mark the region again and apply "*". # This removes dotted list formating.
Wish: There should be a consistent toggle functionality to invert any given formatting if the same formatting is repeated.
BTW: You cannot use Menu / Format / Clear Formatting for this, because this removes also any formatting of the line itself.
Thanks and best regards, Andreas
Make menu toggles work same as keyboard shortcut "*" for selection of lines
