Top panel and bottom pannel flickers

Bug Description
Binary package hint: xsplash
When I boot my PC, the boot process isn't as smooth as it should be:
Grub to Uplash (Top left blinking bar)
Usplash to Xsplash(fade, nice)
But in Xsplash, after 4 seconds of bar throbbing, I get a black screen for 0.1 sec and then more xsplash, a couple of seconds later, the top and bottom pannel quickly flash in and then dissapear. A few seconds more and xsplash fades into the desktop.
This is not the desired boot experience :(
(I'm using NVIDIA restricted drivers from jockey-gtk)

Thanks for your bug report. Is this reproducible? ie do you consistently get the same artifacts on screen? or only intermittently?
