Bug Description

* I used Precise Wubi Beta1: precise-desktop-i386.iso
* Installed on a virtual machine (VMWare player) running Win XP Professional 32-bit. The host machine runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
* Installation went through fine. Able to boot to Ubuntu without any issues.
* Issue: Screen resolution of version 12.04 in virtual machine is double the size of laptop screen resolution(1600* 900). See screenshot. Changing the screen resolution in virtual machine setting doesn't have any effect. Couldn't bring the settings menu in Ubuntu due to mouse pointer offset from UI listener (another bug.)

Could you try just setting up a 12.04 virtual machine (not using wubi) and see if you have the same issue?

Changed in wubi:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Incomplete

I have the same problem running precise in VMWare, but without Wubi. You could run it full screen, in which case it works, and sometimes playing with the windows size corrects it. But this isn't an issue with Wubi.

Quick update:
Tried running Ubuntu 12.04 live on VirtualBox and didn't have the display resolution problem. Need to try other combinations.
