Everytime I boot the Kubuntu 11:10 in the Wubi installed I get the message "prefix" not set. Then it states:" Try (hd0,0):NTFS5:error. I've tried the preboot configuration Window And all the other boot methods listed but with the same results. This command it gives me to try (hd0,0): NTFS5) IS FINE AND DANDY BUT SINCE i DON'T KNOW the cmd systax or even how to script this I can't correct this on my own. I've already tried the differant Boot Scenarios but no luck although a couple of times it booted up Kubuntu 11:10; It just sat there with a blue Kubuntu screen with no controls. I've uninstalled and reinstalled various distributions of Linux;Ubuntu,Kubuntu & Xubuntu. I've even tried edubuntu with the results. As a side note ; I was wondering; if I ever get this fixed; how do I expand the Kubuntu space alotted from the maxium 30Gig size to let's say 80 gigs with out corupting my Windows 7 configurization.What is the exact command systax language that I need to write to set the " Prefix" in order for it to boot normally?Is this another " grub " problem? PS; Ireally want it to run inside Windows 7 Ultimate / 32 bit/ OS; not "Along side" of my current OS. i don't like that " grub" chainloader as it overwrites my Windows mbr. Thanks for any and all help in this matter; as I don't want to reinstall from scratch; yet again. Please use my alternative email account to contact me at : <email address hidden>
Thanks Again;
