Bug Description

with unr installed, dialog-windows disappear while minimize or change to another window.
For example: Synaptic: If I change from Synaptic to another window and back, Synaptic gets unusable because dialog windows won't show up.

Do you mind providing slightly more explicit instructions. I want to make sure I get this right. I think I see the behaviour issue, but I want to be sure.

I made some testing. Dialog-windows are disappearing with compiz enabled only. they get minimized and do not appear as a button or by pressing alt-tab. the only solution is to add the standard window-list-applet.

howto reproduce : open synaptic, and reload repositories or install something. while download or install process is active, change to another window or press the go-home applet. Go back to synaptic and dialog-window is hidden. If all repositories load, synaptic will come back, because the dialog-window will close automatically. but if for some reason a repository does not load or has no gpg-key, synaptic gets unusable because the corresponding window is hidden.

Hope that helps. Since i noticed this odd behavior with compiz or metacity compositing enabled, I'm not sure if this is the right place to announce this bug.

Confirmed. This makes importing photos with F-Spot impossible in the case you start another application while waiting.
