Bug Description

Sometimes I get failures while saving a page, like: http://paste.ubuntu.com/475228/

Will follow up when I know more.

Haven't seen this one for a while, though it sounds as if other users may have been getting "server errors" for merge conflicts.

I wonder if it has something to do with string <-> unicode in some of the
merge code.
