Wired network entry should be available during rescan

Bug Description

The wired network entry seems to be needlessly unavailable during the wireless network scan. Every time you pop up wicd-client (even if it's just minimized) you have to wait 7-8 seconds for the scan to finish before you can do anything with the wired network. This gets irritating when all you're after is managing the wired connection. See dano's note below from http://wicd.net/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=419

Thanks for considering this,

Perhaps this is something we can fix for 1.6?

I'm currently using 1.6.1. The "Disconnect All" button is a quick way to short circuit the wireless scan when I'm switching networks anyway. But I still think opening wicd client and having to wait 7-8 seconds just to interact with it is bad interface design. Even after its minimized in the wicd tray, bringing it to the foreground still makes you wait. So, my suggestions are:

1. The wired network items should always be available (don't gray them out during the rescan).
2. Don't force a rescan of wireless networks whenever you unminimize wicd client; I'll click the refresh button if I want to rescan.

Thanks for considering.

Fixed (partially) in r475: the wired settings are now visible while scanning, but it's still not possible to do anything to them. Whether that's possible to fix, I don't know.

Robby: My card takes about a second to scan so I can't hit connect to see what happens if I try to connect while scanning. What happens if you click connect while scanning?

Somehow or another, this appears to work as expected now (in 1.7.0a2), so this can be marked as fixed.
