WahCade stops responding when control is joypad

Hmmm. I can reproduce the issue, but only after a game movie has started playing. Is this the same for you?

I run Mandriva 2010.1; and I don't have any movies setup yet.

Problem exists for ubuntu 10.10/10.04

I have been back through some older revisions today (on UNR 10.10); this problem first appears for me in revision 19.

Zombie please checkout revision 18 to a new directory and confirm whether or not there is a problem for you. The joypad does not stop responding for me after returning from a launched title on commit 18.

Execute these commands to grab revision 18 and test. (% is bash prompt).
% bzr branch lp:wahcade
% bzr pull --overwrite -r 18
% cd wahcade
% ./wahcade.py

this problem is corrected by reverting the changes to gst_media.py commit 19.

A proper fix is yet to be implemented.

Thanks for spotting that Wayne. I'll start working on a rewrite for that bit of code. I think I've got some better examples that I can knock into shape somewhere...

Making some progress. I've now got video working again, with a couple of exceptions:
1) First time video plays there's no image, only sound
2) Video playback on screensaver is still broken.
Hopefully will have these sorted in the next day or two...

I may not use movies, but I DO use gstreamer for background music. has this issue been resolved yet?

I think it's fixed in commit 25. Let me know if it's not,
