Bug Description

Remote login from Ubuntu 11.10 64bit having EN language, SV keyboard, to Windows7 with EN language, SV keyboard, does not produce correct characters eg: typing the email symbol @ produces some other character ! Very annoying problem, which I hope can be fixed.

Oddly enough, I had this bug 2 days ago but after having updated my oneiric system it is now working fine.
My case is an Ubuntu system with "Dvorak, international variant, no dead keys" as keyboard layout, connecting to a Windows2008 server with a French layout.
Could you please try with all updates applied, if you still have this bug?
Thanks.

I ran an update but the problem persists.
My keyboard is Swedish and the language is English in Ubuntu 64bit 11.10
connecting to Windows7 Professional.

When I press (ignore the double quotes below)
"+" produces "`"
"?" produces "_"
"ö" produces "öo"
"-" produces "+"
"_" produces "?"

I hope this helps in fixing this bug. Since, this works for you, kindly let
me know if there is any setting that I need to tweak on Ubuntu or the
Windows machine.

Cheers

Some more information:
When the remote windows machine had done an update, it had rebooted. Now
remote logging in from ubuntu, there was an EN to EN mapping, some of the
keys worked as expected but not the ÅÖÄ types. But remote logging when the
windows is already up and running causes more keys to function poorly :(

Hope this helps.

Hello!

International characters does'nt work when connecting from 12.04 LTS 64 bit to Windows machines by RDP.

My keyboards are Spanish keyboards and the connection see them as English keyboards. I think the problem is Vinagre doesn't read keyboard international configurations.

Not problem using Remmina but I prefer Vinagre. Screen resolution is better with Vinagre.

Josep Pujadas-Jubany
