Black screen while boot (splashscreen doesnt work)

Bug Description
Usplash doesnt work, istead of it there is only black screen and consoles also doesnt show anything, only grub shows and X11 works. The graphics card is intel connected to 1280x1024 (declared in usplash.conf) LCD through VGA. It is fresh Ubuntu 9.04 but this problem started a big while before, i thing around Ubuntu 8.04. After changing a VGA cable, but it doesnt work either with that old one.

I have the same issue, also with uspash 0.5.31. This is on a fresh install of 9.04 AMD64. The only thing I changed about boot is using "splash" instead of "quiet splash".
However, sometimes uspash works for me and sometimes it doesn't. When it works, everything's fine. When it doesn't, the virtual terminals on F1-F4 also don't work as the original report mentioned.
I've attached dmesg.log from a boot when usplash failed.
