Bug Description
I recognized that a search on the unity-dash (11.04) just brings results, if the file was used before. That, for me, is not satisfying. For example updated files from dropbox or ubuntuone can not be found this way, because the search is just based on zeitgeist and if the file is new, zeitgeist never saw it.
I got used to searching files and folders with "gnome-do" or "synapse" straight from the starter. The standard-search of nautilus is NO alternative. So my idea is: why not combinate the power of zeitgeist with really working search alternatives used in "gnome-do" or "synapse".

I think the easiest way to solve this would just be to make sure that all relevant services lof their activity in zeitgeist. That way they'd show up without a hazzle.
Btw. this bug is highly related to bug #771513 and bug #646724
