Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

When navigating between menus on the panel, the last focused application briefly gets focus as the old menu popup closes, and loses it again when the new menu popup opens.

This is with 3.2.6

I don't observe that anymore in 3.2.8 and natty as of Jan. 6th. Asking Neil to comment on potential panel improvements that may have solved the issue.

I can observe that with the procedure seb128 shared with me, ie:
 * launch gconf-editor
 * select a line on the left pane
 * then scrubb or arrow left/right between menus

I can now see the gconf-editor line blinking briefly sometimes. I was not noticing that earlier with a browser url bar or gnome-terminal.

Naive question, but does this also help with bug #687567 ('Global menu causes white "flashes" when scrubbing/moving with mouse fast over menus').
