Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

Currently the top panel in the unity launcher overlays fullscreen videos being watched on my secondary monitor. I tested this with totem.

Ideally the panel should not overlay the video, though this then creates another issue in that I can't see the clock when I have a full screen application. (The clock issue might be worked around by potentially having the clock and indicator apps on the same screen as the unity launcher bar)

Hey Philip,

I think that will be revisited with all the multi-monitor fixes we will have later in the cycle. If you find it fixes by that (not still sure what we will do with multimonitor and panels), do not hesitate to update this bug report.

Thanks!

I do not believe this is a duplicate of #727116, which is marked as fixed. The unity bar still overlays full screen videos / applications on the second monitor as soon as focus is taken away from them. As a result, I am unable to watch a video on my second monitor while simultaneously working on the fist monitor, without seeing the unity bar overlaying the video on the 2nd monitor. Please re-open this bug or advice if I am going to have to create a new one.
