Bug Description
Installed GMail WebApp for the first time today (so I don't know how old this behavior is) and GMail put a yellow banner across the top of the window saying:
This version of Safari is no longer supported. Please upgrade to a supported browser. Dismiss
The "supported browser" text is a link to https:/
P.S.: I am running Ubuntu 14.04.1 (fresh install) and I will probably remove the WebApps ESPECIALLY for Launchpad because I don't like their behavior (no ability to cut/paste bit me just now).

Same deal here on 14.04.2. Oddly enough I am not seeing this message with the Google Calendar webapp, but it does come up consistently with the Gmail web app.
