Bug Description

Links in GMail don't want to open. Just nothing happens.

Ubuntu 14.04.

Today with version 2.4.16+14.04.20140409-0ubuntu1 opening external links work, and opens in Firefox (my default browser).

However, after opening an external link the gmail webapp stops responding completely :(

External links did not open, right know they do in all web-apps but gmail. I'm guessing the problem is related to the fix, but hangs after pressing a button (not the links)

External links pop up a small window but this closes instantly and the link is not opened in the default browser.
