Bug Description
The "Disk Usage Analyzer" application is missing from the applications place.
There appears to be a problem with the way that Unity applications place uses .desktop files...
The /usr/share/
If I put a copy of baobab.desktop in ~/.local/
Having to find and edit .desktop files is well beyond the capabilities of many users.
Missing applications is an important drawback for an application launcher!

Thanks for reporting this bug and help to make ubuntu better.
The patch isn't the right fix. We ignored this application on purpose in lucid for UNE and I think unity copied it and is ignoring it too in the place applications. We should fix that.
