newly uploaded photos take hours to show, deleted albums still shown

Bug Description
I uploaded a folder with 3 photos to Ubuntu One by adding them to my Ubuntu One local folder. The folder on my computer showed that they have been synced and the images show in the file list in the web browser online - but not if I click on the 'photos' tab for my online account (not even as hidden albums).
Returning to the web interface some hours later, the album did display correctly - but why so long after the files were visible in the 'files' view?
I'm not sure if this is related, but I've also noticed that folders that I have deleted are still showing in the 'all albums' list online, even though the thumbnails are blank because there are no photos there any longer.
I've cleared the browser cache to no effect
