Bug Description
When searching for a file with a space in the name, pressing the space bar selects the first suggestion and doesn't allow you to continue searching for the file.

saw this on ubuntu also.
I have two files, "foo.test.txt" and "test spaces.txt".
typing "test" into the search links field shows me a list that includes both.
If I then type a space to narrow it down so I should only get "test spaces.txt", instead it selects "foo.test.txt".
