Bug Description

Hello!

I have a paid account since more than half a year. After a period of very slow syncing it worked on Ubuntu 10.04. After upgrading to Ubuntu 10.10 it is not working at all even after reinstall with complete remove of all settings and folders.

The status of U1 in Ubuntu One Preferences ist "unknown" and im terminal the following appeared:

richie@richie-desktop:~$ u1sdtool -s

Oops, an error ocurred:
Traceback (most recent call last):
Failure: dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

Could you please make it working again? It is very sad.

you'll sometimes get a dbus timeout during startup (or if syncdaemon is
particularly loaded, e.g. if you untar something very big). The log
shows syncdaemon working OK, just not connecting (there's an SRU that
fixes the bug re it not connecting automatically).

I have the same error. U1 does not connect and complete sync. The Nautilus menu has lost the U1 options- they initially appear after an Ubuntu reinstall up to the first attempted sync.

I have tried all the suggestions in the U1 help area including complete reinstalls of all UbuntuOne packages in Synaptic. I am running 10.10 64bit. Other machines on my network sync fine with different U1 accounts.

My U1 sync updates are hung at 457MB (never to progress although it appears that Tomboy syncs still work). U1 options have disappeared from all Nautilus context menus, and whenever I attempt a U1 Restart or Connect thru the U1 control panel things sit and spin until they finally stop (probably due to boredom).

When I ran:
mark@mark-asus:~$ echo -e "[logging]\nlevel = DEBUG" > ~/.config/ubuntuone/logging.conf; u1sdtool -q; u1sdtool -c
ubuntuone-syncdaemon still running.

The thing is, the network connect seems fine (the log says otherwise). I have reinstalled 10.10 now three times completely to see if there is an install issue, same problem occurs. I am stumped completely. All my PCs

ok so the one thing I had not tried seems to be working. I created a new account on U1. The new account seems to work fine. So now I have to figure out how to get my U1 account with the space reset such that it functions correctly.
