client interface error on device tab

Bug Description

I am using ubuntu lucid, date 16 march, with all updates,

I am getting an error in python in the ubuntu one client, i will attach a picture with said error.

 I was bit by the same bug.

To work around this bug, edit ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.config and
change the read_limit and write limit values.

These should either be -1 or some value greater than 0.
Or you can delete both settings.

That seems to have worked,
I dont get said error anymore.

I am also effected by this bug. Although John's advice doesn't work for me; each time I start Ubuntu One Preferences it overwrites my amendments with "read_limit = 0" and "write_limit = 0". I've even gone so far as to remove all write privileges for syncdaemon.conf, however the client appears to restore the original permissions and overwrite my amendments.

Any idea when Collins patch will make it into Lucid Lynx? Also, how does one go about applying a patch? Does it require (re)building from source? Apologies, I am something of a nubey to the world of linux.
