Bug Description

In previous versions of Ubuntu / Ubuntu One, I was able to create a symbolic link to the /var/www folder inside the /home/[user] folder, and everything synced just fine. Trying to do that in Ubuntu 13.04 produces the error:

The chosen directory "/home/[User]/www" is not valid.

Please choose a folder inside your "/home/[User]" directory, and not overlapping with any existing cloud folder.

Since I primarily use Ubuntu for web-development, and the backup application included with Ubuntu seems to be buggy (erroring all the time), I am at quite a disadvantage.

P.S. - There is a similar bug Bug #854143 which deals with a similar issue in Windows. Could not find any reference to this in Ubuntu, and nobody has stated that Ubuntu One use to work just fine, but someone changed something somewhere and now it doesn't work.

Hi! Thanks for the bug report.

Ubuntu One has never supported syncing symlinks, I am guessing perhaps you had done it the other way around, having the "real" folder in ~ and the symlink in /var/www ?
