Issue:
The top panel is set to hide automatically in order to maximize the current window.
When a sole window is maximized and fills the whole screen the top panel does hide automatically.
Now, when splitting the screen with two windows side by side, the top panel hides automatically as long as the left window stays maximized (half of the screen).
If the left window is now minimized, then the top panel overlaps with the window header to the right, losing access to the buttons at the upper right corner.
So first you have to minimize the window to the right and then the window to the left, which is the one that holds, so to speak, the top panel hidden.
If you minimize both windows and then maximize the window to the right first, the top panel overlaps again with said window header.
As soon as you maximize the window to the left, the top panel hides automatically and the buttons of the window header to the right become accessible again.
Solution:
The top panel should hide automatically whichever of the two splitting windows is maximized, not only the one to the left.
Thank you for your attention.
