Terminal has double title bars

Bug Description

I'm running Ubuntu 19.04 with the Budgie UI installed on it.

My Gnome terminal windows have two title bars sometimes. Logging out and logging back in didn't fix it, but rebooting did seem to fix it. I've attached a screenshot.

Since this was not reproducible, I have my doubts that this bug report will be useful.

sounds like a bug with gnome-terminal. Are you running global menu or pixelsaver applets?

Just wondering if gnome-terminal is doing something weird when one/both of those are running.

This happened after I had logged out and in a couple of times to try out a couple of the other shells as I have been increasingly annoyed with what appears to be a bug in the Task List: https://github.com/solus-project/budgie-desktop/issues/83

if you haven't installed those two applets and added to the panel via Menu - Budgie Desktop Settings then the issue is gnome-terminal specific. Guessing it must be something to-do with gnome-terminal getting confused with the desktop environment it is running in.

In Ubuntu Budgie we don't use gnome-terminal - we use tilix.

As to the task list - upstream don't recommend using the tasklist applet - they recommend using the "icon tasklist applet" instead.

This happened to me when I did an experiment logging in with MATE (instead of Unity). After logging out and logging in with Unity some applications (Gnome Terminal and the Files browser) had a double high title bar. This looks pretty weird.

After the next reboot this problem was gone.
