Bug Description
When I'm using the ALT+F1 shortcut, the activities overview popups without focus for type the application name which I looking for, besides stuck all other opened windows.

Cannot reproduce your issue. 18.04 or 18.10?
The Super (windows) key is the common keyboard shortcut to open the menu.
