I just ran into the same thing after installing glom on Ubuntu 16.04. I am trying this
cd /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ sudo ln -s libboost_python-py35.so.1.58.0 libboost_python-py34.so.1.58.0
as a workaround. I don't know if it will be effective, but it allows glom to start and create a database.
