Bug Description

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using:
Description: Ubuntu (Lubuntu) Utopic Unicorn (development branch)
Release: 14.10
Kernel: 3.13.0-24-generic

2) The version of the package:
lxsession-default-apps 0.4.9.2

3) What you expected to happen:
Executing the command lxsession-default calculator in a Terminal I expect 'Galculator' to launch.

4) What happened instead:
System logs-out

FURTHER INFO:

Also effects a Lubuntu 14.04LTS installation.

I discovered the problem when I enabled the Openbox right-click menu. Clicking on any entry that has a command that includes lxsession-default causes a system logout.

Entering (for example) 'lxsession-default calculator' into a Terminal also causes a system logout.

Thank you for your bug report. Fix available on https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-dev/+archive/staging (be sure to have at least the ~ppa5 version of lxsession, and reboot after update).

Will the fix be backported to 14.04? Being the first LTS many people are expected to use this one and not 14.10, 15.04...

Yes it's planned for 14.04, but it's waiting for another lxsession fix to enter -updates first. When it will be in, I can prepare the SRU for this bug too.

This one was a pain for me - On my Compaq Presario this command was mapped to the calculator button which is right next to the ctrl key! - every time I fat fingered ctrl, lost everything I was working on. Ok so I disabled the command in the openbox config (yay for me!) - so I'm ok, don't need a calculator button. Just wanted to point out that it may seem like an innocuous bug but on certain machines....
