Bug Description
* Impact
The GNOME configuration interface labels LG screens as being from Goldstar, that's because the hwdb has an outdate record for the brand and still its old name, that has been fixed upstream now with
https:/
* Test case
- connect to a LG screen
- log into an Ubuntu/GNOME session
- open gnome-control-
-> the screen should be described as from LG and not from Goldstar
* Regression potential
It's just a name change in the hwdb data

Note that the issue was initially mentioned on bug #1755490. We would like to see the fix backported to bionic (and probably to cosmic then by SRU team requirement).
