Bug Description

[Impact]
Intel Wireless-AC 9560 requires additional driver support as well as new firmware blobs to function. Without them iwlwifi cannot correctly recognize the device on systems with Comet Lake cpu.

[Fix]
These changes are cherry-picked from either mainline kernel or backport-iwlwifi. Firmware blob iwlwifi-QuZ-a0-jf-b0-*.ucode is also necessary.

[Test]
Verified on hardware 02f0:4234 with fw rev 48.

[Regression Potential]
Low. These changes includes only necessary changes to enable Intel Wireless-AC 9560.

====== Original Bug Description ======

Intel has released new firmware blobs versioned -48 into iwlwifi/linux-firmware[1]. However, in comparison to -46 we had for development, this -48 release requires additional changes to load correctly. Change status to IN PROGRESS as we need to backport more to enable this card.

Hello You-Sheng, or anyone else affected,

Accepted linux-firmware into disco-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/1.178.2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested and change the tag from verification-needed-disco to verification-done-disco. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-disco. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s) fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in -proposed for a minimum of 7 days.

For Bionic/Cosmic/Disco generic kernel users, this bug depends on previous work in bug 1809224, which is too many/risky to backport to a already released generic kernel. Please use oem-osp1 kernel instead.

I believe this issue is what's caused my WiFi to stop working as well after updating from 5.3.0-18-generic to 5.3.0-40-generic on Ubuntu 19.10.

Computer: Asus Vivobook S14 S432FA with Intel i5-10210u and AC 9560.

Any chance this will be fixed in time for Ubuntu 20.04?
