Bug Description

Meld version 3.18.0 in arty has a really bad memory problem that didn't happen in 3.16.4.

Git bisect says that this is the first bad commit.

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/meld/commit/07ec4fd9b01d8efdf74cc268dc35aa4f5791c48b

And this patch applied to master 3 weeks ago fixes it.

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/meld/commit/c6a5b22b6501566620ab32a90016cd200eb1bb66

Please consider applying this to the package.
