What worked for me, is commenting out the lines with
<property name = "has_separator"> False </ property>
in the /usr/share/gstreamer-properties/gstreamer-properties.ui.

Confirmed for me too. It happens in several terminal issued commands involving GUI.
The last of those command was Zenity dialog.
"GtkDialog mapped without a transient parent. This is discouraged." appeared after each Zenity step (2): one for choose a direcctory to copy, and one for choose a directory where copy previously selected files.

This warning started showing up in 2013 when the gtk devs decided to push
for the standard usage of requiring a parent -- maybe they have future
modifications in mind which require this. Anyway, the march goes: "discouraged",
"deprecated", and finally "removed", so this warning shouldn't be ignored.
Any number of packages may be affected beyond the two indicated in this bug.
Hopefully, zenity is an intermediate to the underlying gtk so fixing zenity
may fix the warning in many packages. Any feedback to the gtk developers on
the number of adversely affected packages might be useful -- they may decide
to allow some environment variable to continue to allow this.

Specifically, I am trying to use "apport-collect 1718047", but I am getting this bug, which causes apport to produce a window saying "No Additional Information Collected" and, in the terminal:
"Gtk-Message: GtkDialog mapped without a transient parent. This is discouraged."
