Dear bugbot. There are two seperate bugs. The one I was reporting is that the xserver-xorg autodetection choses nouveau for all nvidia cards (which leads to a non-functioning Ubuntu after install).
The bug in xserver- xorg-video- nouveau is a different one. It is that not all models of 9400 GT work with nouveau. The first bug (i.e. this bug) is rather easy to fix (see https:/ /bugzilla. redhat. com/show_ bug.cgi? id=480393# c1). The second bug requires a bit more knowledge.
So should I change the affected package back to xserver-xorg?
