Bug Description

Ubuntu 16.04 alpha2 Xsane 0.999 doesn't work CanoScan LIDE 60.

WORKAROUND: Use Simple Scan.

To see if this is already resolved, could you please test http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and advise to the results?

Yakkety Yak Live CD => 0.999-3ubuntu2 => no change, result wrong :(

Ubuntu 16.04.1 + CanoScan Lide 220 scanner:

1) Sane-find-scanner works scanimage and frontend do not. XSane freezes
2) Simple Scan not works
3) gscan2pdf not works

Scanner tried: not breakdown,
With an other OP system Other -not Linux- works :(

csola48, to keep this relevant to upstream, please ensure you are testing the latest release of Ubuntu (16.10) when posting further test results.

Upgrade from Launchpad repository rolfbensch/sane-git:
 - sane-backends 1.0.26-git20160803-xenial0 Rolf Bensch (2016-08-03)

My scanner moved, but prepares a picture like this...
When he is going throughout there is left over is left over and only the terminal: scanimage -T returns back on orders into a starting situation (?!)

scanimage -V

The scanner indicates input/output error... Not working...
The scanner stays on the sheet's bottom and is frozen off...
