Bug Description

I am running XQF 1.0.5-2ubuntu1 in Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS 64-bit. When you highlight a server in the favorites menu(any menu?) everything freezes up. The mouse cursor moves around but nothing can be selected. Keyboard keys are still functional. Please fix as this seems to be the only good server browser available for quake3! Thanks.

Can confirm this. This happens in 12.04 LTS 64b and also in 12.10 64b.

Theres absolutely no output in the console if you start xqf from there.

Hi, you can run xqf with several options like that:

xqf --debug=3
or
xqf --debug=6 (many things in stdout, probably too much for you)

I can't reproduce here (Ubuntu 14.4, XQF 1.0.5-2).

An updated version was released yesterday (2014-10-26) :
https://github.com/XQF/xqf/releases/tag/xqf-1.0.6.1

This code was dormant since many years and there is many deprecated things in it that can explains what you have experienced. A large cleaning is underway.

XQF 1.0.6 is entering Debian unstable: https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/xqf
So Ubuntu will probably ship un updated version someday.
