Binary package hint: xkeyboard-config
Hi there
I had this problem since Ubuntu 8.04, it affects 8.10 too
Using the default Arabic keyboard layout, when pressing the button for the symbol لا nothing happens
so i have to press G/ل and then H/ا to write it, because لا = ل + ا
I think most of Arab users are familiar with this bug, and proprietary software like Windows shouldn't be any better at
localized and Arabic support than this great FOSS community. |

The same happens with لأ لآ لإ

لآ = Shift + B
لإ = Shift + T
