DVB not working with Terratec Cinergy T2 (amd64 only) without --verbose

Bug Description

Using the latest Xine in Dapper, Terratec Cinergy T2 DVB-T tuner fails to work with xine. This has been tested with xine-ui and gxine, so I'm assuming this is a library problem.

The resulting error message is:

xine: found input plugin : DVB (Digital TV) input plugin
input_dvb: Frontend is <TerraTec/qanu USB2.0 Highspeed DVB-T Receiver> TER Card
input_dvb: Card has no hardware decoder
input_dvb: expecting 16 channels...
input_dvb: found 16 channels...
input_dvb: searching for channel Subtv
input_dvb: tuner_set_channel failed
xine: input plugin cannot open MRL [dvb://Subtv]

Mplayer and VLC both work fine with this tuner.

UPDATE: it seems that adding --verbose to gxine/xine-ui works around this problem

This is still a problem with xine-lib in latest Dapper (AMD64). Tuning doesn't work on Cinergy T2, but I did manage to get DVB going with the following commands:

tzap -r channel_name
gxine stdin://mpeg2 < /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0

A did a quick test on Dapper i386 and the Cinergy T2 tuner works fine with Xine. So this bug only affects the 64-bit distribution.

Same problem here. Other players work well with the card, just xine can't directly access the DVB tuner. The workaround using tzap works.
The problem is present since several Ubuntu releases, including Gutsy and only occurs on AMD64 (tested on AMD and Intel machine), i386 worked at any time.

Yes, this bug has been around for ages. I completely gave up on xine/DVB since I discovered VDR and vdr-xineliboutput. It's a very nice program, which ironically uses xine-lib for video display. :P

But still, there is improvement in Gutsy. Gxine (and xine-ui too) works with Terratec T2 if you use the verbose (-v / --verbose) flag. Without it you get the same old input plugin not found error. You can even do gxine -v dvb:/// and get a playlist with all the available channels (assuming ~/.xine/channels.conf is set up correctly).

Indeed, it succeeds to open the DVB device and play when used with --verbose. The playlist also works. Unfortunately is the second audio channel not working (silent), though it is detected and named correctly.
