i965-va-driver 1.5.0 shows green block artifacts on decoding some mkv/h264 videos

Bug Description

reverting to 1.3.2 restores the desired behaviour.
I use xine-ui 0.99.9-1.2 configured for vaapi video output backend.
xine libs are of version 1.2.6-1build1.

in xine logs I see this :
[h264 @ 0x7f2ce0003920] hardware accelerator failed to decode picture

initially the picture is reset to green screen, then it morphs somewhat, then blinks black and reset to green again.

This looks a lot like http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libva/2015-January/003077.html. Since upstream is still waiting on more info, could you please contact them and provide them with the info necessary to fix this bug?

In discussion with <email address hidden> we found that this bug is reproducible only in xine, no other players (I tested at least mpv -vo=vaapi). So this should be reassigned to xine package.
